March 2008 Declared Amnesty Month
The Franklin Municipal Court has announced that it
is designating the month of March, 2008 as amnesty
month. In order to clear the docket with regard
to old fines and court costs,
Judge Rupert E. Ruppert of the Franklin Municipal Court,
has ordered that all fines and court costs that were
imposed prior to January 1, 2006 may be paid in full
by paying into the Court during the month of March
a sum equal to 50% of the total court fines and costs
now owing. Upon
payment of 50% of such costs and fines, the balance
of all fines due and owing will be cancelled.
All persons who wish to pay pursuant to the amnesty
provisions must make their payment by cash, certified
check, money order, Mastercard, or Visa to the Franklin
Municipal Court during the time period of March 1,
2008 through March 31, 2008.
Payments may be made at the
Clerk’s office at
the Franklin Municipal Court Monday, Wednesday and
Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday’s
from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm and Fridays from 8:30 am to
12:00 pm.
The Court has further advised that any person paying
pursuant to the amnesty notice for whom any bench warrant
has been issued may appear at the Clerk of Court’s
office on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and
on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the month
of March, and upon such appearance any outstanding
warrants shall be vacated.

Clerk’s
office during business hours should they have any questions
regarding conditions of amnesty.
