Meet the Prosecuting Attorney, Steven M. Runge

Steven Runge has been the prosecuting attorney for the Franklin Municipal Court since 1976. He seeks justice for victims of crime, punishment for those who break the law, and safer streets and neighborhoods for all residents. He provides sound legal representation to the city government and to its citizens.

As prosecuting attorney he is responsible for the prosecution of all matters involving criminal activity occurring within the city of Franklin and to act as legal advisor to the city. Cases include all felonies, misdemeanors, gross misdemeanors, and traffic violations, as well as juvenile offenses committed by persons 16 years of age or older. This division also protects the interests of adults and children in abuse or neglect, as well as assisting parents in establishing and collecting court-ordered child support.
